The writing on this website follows one rule: every statement of law is traced to the law as enacted — the Act, the rules, the notification or the judgment — with the date it was checked. Each article shows the date it was published and the date the law is stated as at. Articles are not revised for later changes in the law; later developments are covered in new notes, which refer back to earlier ones.

Information, not advice

Articles, checklists and practice-area descriptions are general information. They state the law as at the date shown and may not reflect later changes or every exception. Do not rely on them for a particular matter; the law must be applied to the facts.
